Project: __________ Works Cited: __________ Speech: __________ Fact Sheets Choose three different memorials/museums and write a fact sheet on each. Each fact sheet must:
1. Have a title
2. Include 10 facts (bulleted)
3. Be typed
4. Have a cover page or be made into a poster
Some items you may want to include on your fact sheets:
Where is the monument/building located?
When was it built?
Who built it?
Why was it built?
Why is it important?
What does it look like?
Who is being honored?
How much does it cost to visit? Works Cited You need to turn in a works cited page giving credit to the sources you’ve used. The works cited will include ALL information you used in creating all of the assignments. You must use a minimum of four sources. Three of these sources need to come from a source other than the internet. Project Choose another monument (a fourth one) and complete a project:
NO BONUS
*Make a pamphlet or travel brochure
*Make a poster
*Draw/paint a picture 5 BONUS POINTS
*Design the front page of a newspaper
*Create a time line 10 BONUS POINTS
*Put together a time capsule
*Write a children’s book
*Build a model
*Design a PowerPoint travel commercial
*Make a game 15 BONUS POINTS
*Design a web page
Speech Your speech can be about any of the four monuments you’ve already selected. Speeches need to be 2 - 2 ½ minutes.
